Biography

Janet Mae Neal, 94, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning, October 8, 2013 at her daughter’s residence.

She was born in Ridgeway, Ohio October 3, 1919, to the late William “Orval” and Hazel “Glenna” (Hogue) Wilson. She married Doral C. Neal March 19, 1955, in Angola, Indiana and he preceded her in death November 10, 2001. She was also preceded in death by brothers William Edgar “Eddie” Wilson and Thomas Woodrow “Woody” Wilson and a grandchild.

Janet is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ronda and Robert Hunter of Bellefontaine; two grandkittens; a brother, Robert I. (Norma) Wilson of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; numerous cousins; special friends Jim and Shirley King of Bellefontaine and a lifelong friend Corilla Creviston of Bellefontaine.

Janet worked as the Postmaster in Ridgeway prior to her marriage to Doral, and then became a housewife. She attended the First Friends Church in Bellefontaine.

Calling hours will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Thursday, October 10, 2013, from 4 to 7 P.M. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home Friday, October 11, 2013, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Ken Neighoff officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
