Janice A. Bradford

Janice A. Bradford, 83, of Rushsylvania, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Belle Springs Nursing & Rehab Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio with her family by her side.

She was born in Bellefontaine February 13, 1938, a daughter of the late William Nelson and Florabelle (Phipps) Buffenbarger.

On September 6, 1956 in Rushsylvania, she married Boyd Edwin Bradford Jr. and he preceded her in death November 4, 2009.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Holly Jean Bradford April 1, 2018, and two brothers, Herbert and Melvin Buffenbarger.

She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Bradford; a granddaughter, Hilery Marie Reese; a great grandson, Aiden Michael Edwin Fout; a sister, Bonnie (Gary) Mangas; a brother-in- law, Daryl Bradford; two sisters-in-law, Eileen Everhart and Patricia Everhart; several nieces and nephews; her cat Daisey and grand dog Emily.

Janice was a long-time member of the Ridgeway Church of Christ.  She loved animals, enjoyed reading Reader’s Digest and looked forward to opening her U.S. Mail every day.  She also enjoyed baking and cooking and was famous for her “Breezy Brownies” and her fried potatoes.  She was the world’s best caregiver for her daughter Holly for 58 years.  She was a good and loving sister who loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed talking on the phone.

Pastor Cory Savage will officiate the funeral service Friday, April 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.  Visitation will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center, Ohio.
