Janice E. Burch

Janice E. Burch, 90, of Jackson Center, Ohio passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

She was born in Shelby County Ohio October 15, 1927, a daughter of the late Clifton J. and Mildred Evelyn (Fogt) Steenrod.

On January 12, 1946, she married Harley Richard “Dick” Burch and he preceded her in death July 26, 1998.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter Sharon Kaye Burch and a son, James Richard Burch; two sisters, Naomi Wildermuth and Carol Ann Steenrod and two brothers, Donald C. Steenrod and Robert W. Steenrod.

She is survived by a daughter, Deanna C. (William R.) Kelly of Lewistown, Ohio and Reed (Lori) Burch of Jackson Center; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Sarah Regula of Wapakoneta, Ohio; two brothers, Larry E. (Jean) Steenrod of Knoxville, Tennessee and Jerry (Barb) Steenrod of Toldeo, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Janice was a long-time member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center.  She enjoyed baking pies and spending time with her family.

Rev. Dr. Cathi Braasch will officiate the funeral service at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center.  ​Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center.
