Janice Marie Mattox

Janice Marie Mattox, age 57, of Sidney, Ohio passed away Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2020, in the James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Janice was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio May 24, 1963, to the late Lloyd E. Skaggs and Shirley May (Shields) Skaggs.

Janice is survived by her husband, Michael Mattox of Sidney whom she married February 8, 1992.  She is also survived by sons, Frank (Emily) Dick III of Bellefontaine, Jason Dick of Barbourville, Kentucky and Jeremy (Patricia Dick of Bellefontaine; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandson; siblings, Patricia Losey of Bellefontaine, Gerald (Carline) Skaggs of DeGraff, Ohio, Greg Skaggs of Bellefontaine, Jeff (Eva) Skaggs of Huntsville, Ohio and Lori Ann Cummins of Bellefontaine and several nieces and nephews.

Janice was a homemaker and had previously attended the Bellefontaine First Church of God.  She loved her country music, enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Eagles.  She also loved to cook for her family.

Friends may call at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine Sunday, September 20, 2020, from 2 to 4 p.m. where Pastor Ray Headings will officiate Janice’s funeral at 4 p.m.  Due to current pandemic orders, please be symptom-free, practice social distancing and consider wearing a mask.
