Janie Dibert, 95, of DeGraff, Ohio passed away peacefully at 6:35 P.M. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at home. She was born in Marysville, Ohio May 19, 1921, a daughter of the late Jesse and Mayme (Bodey) Roesser.
On October 21, 1940, Janie married Robert Curl and he preceded her in death May 5, 1977. She later married Kenneth Dibert June 8, 1990, and he preceded her in death October 30, 1993. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Ann Erwin and a brother, Dr. Charles E. Roesser.
Janie is survived by three nieces, Diane (Rick) Priest, Debbie (Mark) Hannahs, and Kay (Mark) Petty; a nephew, Brian Erwin, and two great nieces, Brittany Priest and Taylor (Adam) Bellevue.
A homemaker, Janie was a 1937 graduate of Rosewood High School. She was a member of the Stonycreek Church of the Brethren and enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking, and cake decorating.
Per Janie’s request, there will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Careysville, Ohio.
The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
