Janis R. Dawson

Janis R. Dawson, 70, of rural Bellefontaine, passed away Friday morning, September 2, 2022, at her home.

Janis was born in Bellefontaine on December 7, 1951, to the late Pearl K. and Margaret (Walter) Dawson.  She was also preceded in death by a sister Jeanne Ziegler.

Janis married Andy Reinhart on December 24, 1988, and he survives.  She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law James and Linda Dawson of Wapakoneta; and four nephews: Jimmy and John Dawson, Paul and Steve Ziegler.

A graduate of Indian Lake High School, Janis was a market gardener for over 34 years.  With her husband, they operated Jandys and were instrumental in the start of the Logan County Farmers Market in 1997.   She was a member of the Ohio Ecological Food & Farm Association.

A gathering to celebrate Jan will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at 1pm at Jandys Farm, 3624 Twp Rd 136, Bellefontaine, OH  43311.   Please bring a covered dish, along with your own chair and beverages. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Universal Home Health Hospice, 921 Rush Avenue, Bellefontaine, OH  43311.
