Jean Covault

Jean M. Covault, age 80, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away at 9:51 P.M. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio.

She was born in Miami County Ohio October 16, 1934, to the late Herman and Iva Jane (Pine) Pond. In June 1957, she married Wyman M. Stotler who preceded her in death in 1963. After his death she married Howard Covault in September 1963 who preceded her in death in 1987. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Claurys I. Hoffman and a brother, William D. Pond.

Jean is survived by her sister Jan Couchman of Troy, Ohio; and two brothers R. Dale (Sally) Couchman of Sidney and Herb (Kaye) Couchman of Bellefontaine, Ohio.

A 1952 graduate of Rosewood High School, Jean had worked for the County Assessor’s Office in Eagle, Colorado. She lived in Colorado for the past several years and moved back to Ohio in June 2013.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the ICU staff of Lima Memorial Hospital for their care for Jean and kindness to the family.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment will be at the Springhills Cemetery in Springhills, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements were in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
