Jeanne Shearer

Shearer, Jeanne H. 87, of Louisville,KY formerly of Bellefontaine, OH passed away on June 23, 2016.

She was born on September 27, 1928 in Bellefontaine, OH to Fred B. and Maree A. (Elliott) Hamilton. She was married to her husband Maxwell J. Shearer, Jr. on October 23, 1948. Her husband’s work took her to several cities during her life including Bellefontaine, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Waldwick, NJ, Upper St. Clair, PA before settling in Louisville, KY.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by three children, Sherry Gamertsfelder (Sidney), Sally Bombik (Gary) and Fred Shearer (Paula); seven grandchildren: Jenny (Gamertsfelder) Buetow, Matt Gamertsfelder (Kris), Max Bombik, Alison Bombik, Wes Bombik, (all 3 of Cleveland, OH); Alex Shearer and Doug Shearer and four great-grandchildren, Maddie (Gamertsfelder), and Ainsley, Kensey and Trinity (Buetow).

Her funeral service will be at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery, Bellefontaine, OH.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at Highlands.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
