Jeffrey Ashcraft

Jeffrey Richard Ashcraft, 59, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 5, 2013 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine after a prolonged illness.

He was born September 1, 1953 in Bellefontaine, to the late Nancy D. (Sparks) Ashcraft and Daniel W. Ashcraft, who survives in Bellefontaine. He was married to the former Patti Hinks and she preceded him in death.

He is also survived by his son, Jackson B. Ashcraft of Bellefontaine; a brother, Bill (Melissa) Ashcraft of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Laurie Ashcraft Bowling of Bellefontaine, and many nieces and nephews.

Jeff worked for LeVan’s Excavating as a general contractor. A member of the Episcopal Holy Trinity Church, he enjoyed his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, country music, working with his hands and spending time with family and friends. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

Gene Marine will officiate the 2 P.M. funeral service Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are two hours prior to the service starting at noon. Interment will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
