Jeffrey Dill

Biography

Jeffrey L. Dill, 48, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away as the result of a traffic accident Monday, December 3, 2012, northwest of Urbana, Ohio.

He was born March 18, 1964 in Urbana, a son of Joe and Barbara (Long) Dill of Urbana.

On January 10, 1990 in West Liberty, he married the former Debbie L. Spencer and she survives along with their children, Brittany Taylor, Shelby Dill, Sarah Dill and Jeffrey Dill, all of West Liberty; sisters, Jennifer (Matt) Hawke of DeGraff, Ohio and Julie (Steve) McGill of Urbana; nieces and nephews, Bailey, Sam and Roy McGill and Zach and Luke Hawke.

After twenty five years at Honda of America, he transitioned full time into the family business of maple syrup and homestead farming.

He enjoyed serving others and was a member of the Grace Chapel Church where he faithfully served in many capacities, including being an usher. Some of Jeff’s favorite things to do were cutting wood, bailing hay, sitting on the porch with his wife, family and friends. He also loved serving on the Champaign County Fair Board. He brought a lot of laughter and endless conversations in his home. He will be remembered as a wonderful, loving, hard working and caring husband, father and friend.

Pastors Josh Gelatt and Jeff Mixon will officiate the funeral service Friday, December 7, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at the Grace Chapel Church in West Liberty, where calling hours are Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund set up in Jeffrey’s name for his children.

The staff of the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty, assisted the family with the arrangements.
