Jennie Mae Gloyd, 94, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at the Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. She was born October 1, 1915, in St. Paris, Ohio, to the late Chlorae and Lyda Rose (Jackson) Barbee.
On February 7, 1936, she married Lawrence L. Gloyd in Lima, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on October 12, 1998. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Ralph and Raymond Barbee.
Surviving is a brother, Donald (Wanda) Barbee of Conover, Ohio; a sister, Mary Grace Lingo of Springfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
A member of the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine, she was a life member of the Guild and the Eagle Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Rebecca Lodge #474 in Middleburg, and enjoyed cooking, shopping and her pets.
Pastor Jonathon Bull will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine. Calling hours will be at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Monday, November 23, 2009 from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M.
