Jerold Kia Ansley

Jerold Kia Ansley, age 68, of Ridgeway, Ohio passed away at 7:14 A.M. February 28, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Kenton, Ohio September 26, 1950, to Helen Elizabeth (McGee) Ansley and the late William Richard Ansley. Jerold was also preceded in death by a daughter, Krista Joy McDonald and a brother, Keith Ansley.

On March 15, 1975, he married Kathy Wren in West Liberty, Ohio and she survives, along with a daughter, Jennifer Kay (Gavin) Strickland; three grandchildren, Norma Jean Ansley, L'wren Joy McDonald, and Wyatt Strickland; two brothers, Richard (Jo) Ansley and Donald Ansley; a sister-in-law, Karen Ansley and his special cat, “Sophie”.

A farmer, Jerold had worked on the First Responder Team at Honda of America in Marysville and also volunteered for the Ridgeway Fire Department. He enjoyed baking and working in the greenhouse.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 P.M. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Ridgeway First Church of God in Ridgeway, where Pastor Tim Kohl and Brother Mike Rucker will officiate a memorial service at 5 P.M.

The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
