Jerry D. Marker, 75, of Bellefontaine and formerly of West Liberty passed away Saturday evening, December 27, 2014 at Heartland of Bellefontaine.

Jerry was born in Logan County on June 2, 1939 to James L. and Alice M. (LeValley) Marker. He married the former Bille Sue Hampton on October 19, 1973 in Bellefontaine and she survives. He is also survived by his mother Alice Marker of Spencer, Indiana; children: Ryan Marker and Melisa Corso, both of Lima; grandson Skyler Corso; a sister Judy (Rex) Means of Spencer, Indiana; three brothers Richard (Marlene) Marker of Bellefontaine, Ed (Lyn) Marker of Huntsville and John (Pat) Marker of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graduate of Rushsylvania High School, Jerry was a veteran of the US Air Force. He retired from Siemens after 35+ years. Jerry attended the West Liberty United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening. He was a very fun loving and caring person who always smiled and laughed. Jerry loved to talk and visit with his friends and family.

Pastor Lee Ortman will officiate the funeral service on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, West Liberty at 1pm where visitation will be held from 11am – 1pm. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Cemetery with military honors provided by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
