Jesse James Savage, 53, of Bellefontaine, Ohio left us Sunday evening, May 31, 2015 at the Zusman Hospice at Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born in Bellefontaine on January 30, 1962 to the late Thomas Edward and Betty (Kreglow) Savage.
Jesse was a small business owner and was a charter member of the Central Ohio Tractor Pullers Association as well as the Darke County Tractor Pullers Association. Jesse loved restoring cars – his most recent project was a 1963 Golden Hawk Studebaker. He was a generous man and often helped others in need. Jesse was a loving, caring, gentle soul who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Jesse is survived by his wife and partner, Maggie (Norris) Savage of Bellefontaine; a beloved granddaughter Rhonda Savage; Kelly Savage (Michael) Day of Tiburon, California and Bill (Chanda) Savage of Kenton; sister Helen (Roger) Lattimer of Zanesfield; brothers: William J. Savage of Kenton and Edward Lee (Denise) Savage of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews in Ohio, Tennessee and Michigan.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 2pm at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine. Burial services will follow immediately in North Greenfield Cemetery.
