Jimmy Vernon Wagoner
Jimmy Vernon Wagoner, 66, of Huntsville, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008, in his home. He was born in Sandy Hook, Kentucky, on October 19, 1941, a son of the late Willie Edgar and Mollie Belle Winkleman Wagoner. He also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
On November 18, 1963, he married the former Joyce Riddle in Morehead, Kentucky, and she survives, along with a son, Jimmy (Samantha) Wagoner of Rushsylvania, Ohio; daughters, Dena (John) Dean of Russells Point, Ohio; and Vicky (Gary) Baldwin of Sidney, Ohio; brother, Willie (Novenda) Wagoner of Morehead, Kentucky; sisters, Maude (Beacher) Whitt of Wrigley, Kentucky, and Jean Whitt of Morehead; and seven grandchildren.
He was a bridge builder for Frantz Brothers in Sidney, Ohio, from 1967 to 1988, and he retired in 1995. He was a member of the Belle Center Church of Christ where he served as an elder. He loved OSU football, working in his garden, bass fishing, woodworking and helping neighbors and friends do odd jobs. He loved his children, grandchildren and his church.
Pastor David C. Hawthorn and Gerald Houchin will conduct the funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center, where calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center, Ohio.
