Jo Anne Harman, 86, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 7:58 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Mary Rutan Hospital. She was born in Logan County on August 23, 1929 to the late John Wesley and Juanita (Williams) Clingerman. On November 25, 1948 she married Floyd L. Harman and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1996.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Clingerman and John Jr. “Junie” Clingerman; and special friend, Ray Close.
Jo Anne is survived by her three sons, Steve (Beth) Harman, Jeff (Lisa) Harman, and Chris (Cheryl) Harman, all of Bellefontaine; two daughters, Diana (Greg) Skidmore of Belle Center and Beci (Mike) Morris of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Chad (Nikki) Morris, Lori Newman, Jason (Amy) Harman, Shauna (Keith) Mazique, Wes (Kristen) Harman, Erin (Ben) Gillig, Joe Harman, Dustin Harman, Chelsea Harman, Shelby (Tyler) Knox, Kinsey Harman, and Katie Harman; 19 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Jo Anne was a retired mail carrier and bus driver. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine, a lifetime Grange Member and Farm Bureau Member. Jo Anne loved flowers and especially spending time with family.
Pastor Michele Garver will officiate a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, 201 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. A private family burial will be in Highland Cemetery in West Liberty.
