Jo Ann Yelton

Jo Ann Yelton, age 83, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 7:40 P.M. Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born in Bellefontaine May 11, 1934, to the late Marvin Earl and Sarah Maxine (Kennedy) Simpson.

On October 23, 1951, Jo Ann married Vernar Lowell Yelton in West Liberty, Ohio and he preceded her in death August 22, 1987. She was also preceded by her son, Robert Allen Yelton and a brother, David Simpson.

Jo Ann is survived by her four daughters, Deborah Jenkins, Jeannette (Behrle) Hubbuch, Victoria Moore, and Jeannine (Frank) Williams; three sons, Anthony “Tony” (Monica) Yelton, Thomas Yelton, and Christopher Yelton; a step-son, Vernar (Susie) Yelton; twenty two grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two siblings, Robert Simpson and Barbara Perrey and many nieces and nephews.

Jo Ann was a homemaker for the majority of her life and also worked at Walmart for twelve years. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Birds of Prey Rehabilitation Group.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.

Ed Stevenson will officiate the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 26, 2018 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the funeral service at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
