Joan C. “Penny” Schultz, 82, of Belle Center, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Lima, Ohio April 22, 1938, a daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude (Golden) McCormick. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Wadell; a brother, Stanley McCormick and a sister-in-law, Madge M. Crook.
On June 22, 1957, she married Theodore “Ted” Schultz in Indiana and he survives in Belle Center. She is also survived by a daughter, Kimberlee (Steve) Ramsey of West Liberty, Ohio and a son, Thad Schultz of Dayton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Tim (Kelli) Ramsey and Jill (Rob) Gonterman; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Penny graduated high school in 1956 from Lafayette (Lima Bath School District). She liked to exercise to include walking, bicycling and playing tennis with her husband. After raising their children, she owned and operated the American Medical Weight Center in Bellefontaine for several years. She enjoyed helping others with their fitness and health goals.
Pastor Philip Pockras will officiate a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2021 at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center is honored to serve the Schultz family.
