JoAnn Johns

JoAnn E. “Jody” Johns, 82, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015 at her home. She was born on November 15, 1932 in Bellefontaine, a daughter of the late Clinton A. and Winifred (Cronley) Diener.

On November 29, 1951 she married Robert L. Johns and he survives along with their children, Deborah (Mike) Augustus of Bellefontaine and Christine (Alfredo) Guilfuchi of Newmarket, New Hampshire. Her grandchildren, Amy Ernst, Holly Young, Noah, Nicholas and Juliana Guilfuchi and great-grandchildren, Emily, Peyton, Brandon and Elise as well as a sister, Jeannine Smith of Bellefontaine and a brother, Thomas (Patty) Diener of Bellefontaine.

She served as a public accountant for many years for Robert Callender Accounting and was a Supervisor of Taxation for the City of Bellefontaine and retired in 1997 as director of the American Red Cross.

She was a member of Circle of Kings Daughters, Bonafada Circle and the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild.

Father Kenneth Baker will conduct a Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 328 East Patterson, Bellefontaine. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 North Main Street, Bellefontaine. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
