Joanna Dodge

Biography

Joanna Dorff Dodge, 79, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at her home in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Born June 16, 1934 in Wheeling, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Vessels) Dorff.

She is survived by her loving husband, W. Robert ‘Bob’ Dodge, who she married June 23, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by their children, Lisa Dodge of Oak Park, Illinois, Susan (Scott Taylor) Dodge of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Steven (Adrienne) Dodge of Nashville, Tennessee and their beloved granddaughter Grace Elizabeth. Also surviving are her two sisters, Linda Dorff of Columbus, Ohio and Mary Ellen (Michael) Rupright of San Francisco, California.

Joanna was a 1952 graduate of Upper Arlington High School and later graduated from The Ohio State University in 1957, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Bellefontaine and a former member of the Tourist Club and Rake and Hoe Garden Clubs, and had served on the Logan County Educational Foundation board.

A celebration of her life is planned in the Spring of 2014.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
