Jocella Burgoon

Biography

Jocella Jean Burgoon, 88, of Russells Point passed away Sunday morning, February 26, 2017 at Heartland of Bellefontaine.

She was born in Bellefontaine on June 15, 1928 to the late Homer C. Insley and Mary M. (Tillman) Insley Burkhalter. Jocella married Donald V. Burgoon on October 6, 1950 in Columbus and he preceded her in death in 1967.

Jocella attended Lutheran churches throughout her life. A registered nurse, Jocella worked many years at DAB and retired as the shop RN. She was a member of the Miami Valley Nurses Association and enjoyed making hand-made stuffed lambs.

Jocella is survived by several cousins: Chris Tillman, SuSu Earick, Tim Tillman, Ray Stamm and Leonard Young, all of Bellefontaine and a niece Sue Turner of Indiana.

Pastor Richard Cryder will conduct a graveside service on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 2:30pm at the Bellefontaine Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the care of Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine.
