Jodi Gilbert

Jodi Lynn (Farquharson) Gilbert, age 48, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born December 17, 1965 to Don D. and Mary L. (Spence) Farquharson, who survive in Hoytville, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Farquharson who passed away in 2013.

She is survived by her husband Timothy Gilbert, whom she married July 14, 2001 in Bellefontaine. Also surviving are her daughters, Amanda Souders of Maryville, Tennessee, Emily Souders of Kingsport, Tennessee and Jennifer (Aaron Abel) Souders of Maryville; a grandson, Alexander Abel of Maryville; step-sons, Tymothy Gilbert and Garth Gilbert, both of Bellefontaine; her siblings, Jane (Mark) Schaffner of Hoytville, Ohio and James (Suzanne) Farquharson of Pemberville, Ohio; three nieces, two great nieces and one great nephew.

Jodi graduated in 1984 from McComb High School and received her Associates Degree from Owens Community College.

A billing specialist for Loganview BAC for thirteen years, Jodi was a member of the Hoytville United Methodist Church. She drew pleasure from making afghans, creating jewelry and other crafts. Jodi was a Buckeye fan by association and immensely enjoyed time with family and friends.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a 4:00 P.M. memorial service Saturday, September 6, 2014, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
