Joel McCullough, 58, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September, 5, 2009, at Heartland of Indian Lake. He was born November 11, 1950 in Greenville, Mississippi, the son of Frank R. and Lillian (Burks) McCullough whom both survive of Bellefontaine.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by four brothers; Frank (Maxine) McCullough, Jr. of Detroit, Michigan, Verne (Tonya) McCullough of Bellefontaine, Joe (Shelia) Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Tim McClain of Bellefontaine; three sisters, Daisy (Larry) Artis of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Virgie McCullough of Detroit, Michigan, and Ruby (William) Robinson of Bellefontaine; two aunts, Ernestine Quarles of Indianapolis, and Ruthie (Rev. Samuel) Turner, Sr. of Douglasville, Georgia, a special friend Amanda, and several nieces and nephews.
He had worked for Fresh Way Foods for two years, Perkins restaurant for one on one half years, and was a member of AA.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 11, 2009, at Christ Our King Church in Bellefontaine, officiated by his father, Rev. Frank R. McCullough. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Logan County Cancer Society.
