John Capen Jr

John F. Capen, Jr., age 80, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Kindred Hospital in Lima, Ohio.

He was born January 22, 1934 in Springfield, Ohio, to the late John F. and Susan (Shaw) Capen.

Surviving is his wife, Carolyn (Tester) Capen; a son, Jerry (Kelly) Capen of Doylestown, Ohio; a grandson, Cody Capen of Wadsworth, Ohio; two sisters, Carolyn Knight of Xenia, Ohio and Mary Jane (Bud) Day of Springfield, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.

An electrician, John was a United States Navy Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards.

There are no services currently planned.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
