John Howard

John W. Howard, age 60, of DeGraff, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at his home.

He was born in Springfield, Ohio February 9, 1954, to Harrison and Mary G. (Runkle) Howard. He was preceded in death by his father and two nephews, Thomas “T.J.” Lewis and Scott Howard.

He is survived by his mother, Mary; five children, Nichole (Russell) Krabill of West Liberty, Ohio, Corilee Howard of DeGraff, Nathanael (Kylie) Howard of Urbana, Ohio, Eli Howard of DeGraff and Terad Howard of Coudersport, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Abriley and Zebedee Krabill, Braxton and Kyra Griggs, Ryder Howard, Liam Dickinson and Zaidon Dickinson; four siblings, Richard (Carolyn) Howard of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, Patricia (Mark) Rich, Thomas (Cheri) Howard, both of Urbana, and David Howard of DeGraff, and several nieces and nephews.

John retired in July 2014 from Laborer’s District Council and Contractor’s 1410. He was a member of the Christ Our King Church in Bellefontaine, and was well known as the “Harmonica Man”.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.

The funeral arrangements were in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
