John David Hudson

John David “J.D.” Hudson, age 69, of Chicago, Illinois and formerly of Jackson Center, Ohio passed away at 2:38 P.M. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Southbrook Care Center in Springfield, Ohio. He was born in Piqua, Ohio December 16, 1947, a son of the late John H. “Jack” and Dolores “Dee” (Ware) Hudson.

J.D. is survived by his two brothers, Jerry Hudson of Russia, Ohio and Larry (Marie) Hudson of Headland, Alabama; nieces and nephews, Thara Winstead, Hope (Scott) Hoffman, Aaron (Yuko) Hudson, and Justin Hudson; several great nieces and nephews and a special friend, Annie Smith.

A United States Army Vietnam Veteran, J.D. was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and the American Legion Scherer Post #493, both in Jackson Center.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center. Rev. Dr. Cathi Braasch will officiate the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 6, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center.
