John Randall “Randy” James, age 68, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Sunday morning October 27, 2019, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Randy was born in Bellefontaine September 3, 1951, to the late Willis Robert and Ann (Spencer) James. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Karla Powell.
Randy is survived by his wife, Pam (Shane) James of Bellefontaine; six children, Teresa (Christopher) Thode of St. Petersburg, Florida, Michelle (Chris) Suman of Bellefontaine, Oren (Stephanie) James of Cairo, Sterling James of Omaha, Nebraska, Ashley (Jonathan) Digby of Grove City, Ohio and Quinten James of Bellefontaine; eleven grandchildren, Celeste and Sasha Thode, Hannah, Riley and Emma Suman, Jonah and Lily Volbert, Ellis James, Regan James, Estelle and Theodore Digby; his brothers, Richard A. (Carol) James of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, and Mickey C. (Kathy) James of Columbus; his former wife, Kristine Sutterfield of Bellefontaine; a brother-in-law, Steve Powell of Findlay, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Karen Wendt of Irvine, California; a brother-in-law, Bob Shane of Parker, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.
Randy was as a manager and supervisor in the restaurant industry. He worked many years at the Homecoming Restaurant, and most recently at Red Lobster. He loved his rescue dogs and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The arrangements are being handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
