John Wilbert Lowe

John Wilbert Lowe, age 83, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Tuesday evening, October 1, 2019.

He was born in Bellefontaine August 19, 1936, to the late Wilbert Emmett and Edna Elizabeth (Mosier) Lowe.  John was also preceded in death by his daughter, Joy Lynn Lowe; sisters Norma Louise Jennings and Millicent Jean Horton and a brother, William A. Lowe.

John is survived by his sons, Johnny William Lowe of Knoxville, Tennessee, James Wilbert Lowe of Atlanta, Georgia, Joseph Charles Lowe of Baltimore, Maryland, and John Franklin (Robin Ann) Lowe of Hampstead, Maryland; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

John worked as a self-employed truck driver for many years.  He enjoyed singing and playing guitar.  In his younger years, John enjoyed playing softball and football, and later took up golf.  He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine, the Moose and the Eagles.​

It was John’s wishes to be cremated and there will be no services.

The arrangements are being handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
