John McMackin

John McMackin, 80, of Bellefontaine, passed away Sunday evening, February 15, 2015 at Green Hills Care Center. He was born in Oceanside, New York on June 21, 1934 to the late John J. and Grace G. (Hose) McMackin.

John is survived by his wife Margie L. (Brunson) McMackin whom he married February 14, 2005; sons Juan McMackin of Hilliard, John Kevin (Debbie) McMackin of New York, William (Retha) McMackin of New York; daughters Darie McMackin of New York and Patricia (Colin) Pilkington of New York; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a sister Meredith Hollister of New York.

A US Air Force veteran and former member of the Air National Guard and a strong passion for being a pilot, John had over twenty-four years of service to his country. He retired as the owner and operator of McMackin’s Productivity Management. John was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Friends may call at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 4-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11am at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. Patrick Sheridan officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Huntsville Cemetery.
