John Michael O'Rielley

John Michael O'Rielley, age 64, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born in Bellefontaine January 26, 1953, to the late Freda M. Titus O'Rielley and Frank D. O'Rielley who survives in Bellefontaine.  He is also survived by his stepmother of fifty two years, Carol Hayes O'Rielley; his siblings, Chris (Robert) Glessner of Urbana, Ohio, Don (RoseAnn) O'Rielley of Dover, Ohio, Mary (Dave) Fuchs of Plano, Texas, Kathleen (Dan) Petno of Stow, Ohio, Deborah (Alan) Stein of Lebanon, Ohio, Hayes (Kindra) O'Rielley of Lewis Center, Ohio and Erin-Brew O'Rielley of Marysville, Ohio.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Grant and Bradley Glessner, J.J. and Tyler O'Rielley, Ariel and Trevor Fuchs, Courtney and Emma Petno, Isaac and Andrew O'Rielley, and Tyler Stein.

John was working as an associate at RTC Industries.  He was best known, and often touted, for being the "best paper carrier in town" delivering the Bellefontaine Examiner for twenty six years. In 1961, John was one of five students enrolled in the first state mandated school, Hi-Point Day School in Logan County for children with disabilities

John loved to bowl and had numerous opportunities to bowl at the Special Olympics.  He loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, beer, animals, solitaire, and WWE Wrestling.

Father Shawn Landenwitch will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine and also one hour prior to the funeral mass Wednesday at the church.  Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Bellefontaine.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
