Johnathan Lynn Adams, age 44, of Lexington, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at his home after spending Christmas day with his family.
John was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio December 18, 1974, to Debra (Cox) Vickers and the late George L. Adams. John was also preceded in death by his grandmothers Alice E. Beltz and Minnietta Brown.
John is survived by his mother, Debra (Greg) Vickers of Bellefontaine; his son, Braxton Adams of Butler; sisters, Angel (Mel Ian) Baker of Bellefontaine, LaDawn Vickers, Cassie Vickers, and Nikki Givens, all of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Bill Thompson of Marion, Ohio, Greg (Hannah) Vickers II of Bellefontaine, and Nate Vickers of Columbus; maternal grandparents, Tempa and Delmar Cox of Pickrelltown, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
A 1993 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, John served in the United States Army for over seven years before being honorably discharged in February 2001. He worked as a computer representative for Rite-Aid for several years and was a member of the Mt. Gilead VFW. John enjoyed spending time with his family, especially as the chef for family cook-outs, watching NASCAR, and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide – ROLL TIDE!
Pastor Wayne Downing will officiate a celebration of John’s life Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 1 P.M. at the Goshen Friends Church in Zanesfield, Ohio. The Logan County Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors following the service.
The family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the service.
The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
