Jolena D. Hornung, 65, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 12:41 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on June 6, 1951 to the late Robert R. Masson and Barbara A. (Stevens) Masson who survives in Bellefontaine.
She is also survived by her children, Monte (Kelly) Hornung of Palmdale, California, and Sheila (Tim) Markley of Rushville, Indiana; grandchildren, Aaron, Ethan, Kyle, Brad, and Mark; sisters, Janet L. Schmitt of West Liberty, Maureen (Errol) Kobilan of Elbert, Colorado, Debra (Randy) Harper of Claremore, Oklahoma, Carol Ann Weinman of New Carlisle; brothers, Paul R. Masson of Ronald, Washington and Robert D. Masson of Sidney; Nanny to Kaylee and Cole Dysart; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her father, a sister, Jeannie Cooper, and a brother, Jonathan Masson, preceded Jolena in death.
Jolena was an excellent artist and a published poet. She was involved with many art leagues and shows. Jolena loved the outdoors, animals, and especially reading.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 12 Noon at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Road, West Liberty. Visitation will be Friday, January 6th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
