Jon Blair Rose, 70, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.
He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio July 21, 1943, to the late Harold and Lucy (Cline) Rose. Jon was also preceded in death by his baby sister Carolyn Rose.
Jon is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Elliott) Rose whom he married March 17, 1963 at the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church in Belle Center. Also surviving are daughters, Pam (Mike) Elson of Belle Center and Tracy (Bill) Crissman of Jacksonville, Florida; three grandchildren, Eric and Danny Elson of Belle Center and Nickole (Chris) Smith of Orange Park, Florida; a brother, Dave (Jean) Rose of Belle Center and several nieces and nephews.
Jon worked as a car salesman for MacGillivray Motors and later Anderson Ford for twenty five years. Following that, he went to work at the Honda Engine Plant in Anna, Ohio, where he retired after sixteen and a half years. Jon enjoyed golf, bowling, feeding the birds, but best of all he loved bass fishing. Jon was a member of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church. He loved to watch NASCAR and Ohio State Football.
A celebration of Jon’s life will be held at the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Jim Burton officiating. Interment will be at a later date at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center assisted the family with the arrangements.
