Jonathan R. Armstrong

Jonathan R. Armstrong, age 65, of Lewistown, Ohio and formerly of Marion, Ohio passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at his daughter’s residence.

He was born in Marion November 15, 1951, the son of the late Harry L. and Ruth V. (Southward) Armstrong.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Armstrong and a brother, Harry L. Armstrong.

He is survived by three children, Matthew Armstrong of Lakeview, Ohio, Ryan Armstrong of Bellefontaine, Ohio and Katlynn Miller of Lewistown; four grandchildren, KaiLea Miller, Aleah Lowe, Wyatt Mullins and Kiylee Haude; two sisters Janice Gosnell and Cathie Butterman, both of Marion; a brother, Steven G.(Val) Armstrong of Spiceland, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Deana Armstrong of Bellefontaine.

John was a United States Navy Veteran and was always very handy.  He enjoyed working on vehicles, building things and spending time with his family.  He was always willing to help his family out with anything they may need.

A memorial dinner will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the First Church Of God in Bellefontaine.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
