Joseph H. Bowdle II

Joseph H. Bowdle, II, 81 of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away at his residence at 8:00 A.M. Friday, November 11, 2011. He was born December 9, 1929, in a log cabin near Roundhead, to the late Joseph Holmes and Gladys Thompson Bowdle. On May 25, 1947, he married the former Marcella Irene Eads, and she preceded him in death. He then married the former Evelyn Harris in 1982, and she survives.

A lifelong resident of the Belle Center area, he retired from Rockwell in Kenton, Ohio after thirty five years of service and was a full-time farmer.

Survivors include; two sons, Steve Bowdle of Kenton and Tom (Nancy) Bowdle of Rootstown, Ohio; a step daughter, Gerry (Randy) Malm of Columbia, Maryland; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Bowdle; a great granddaughter; a sister and a brother.

Per Mr. Bowdle’s request there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Belle Center Library or the Richland Township Fire Department.

The funeral arrangements were handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center.
