Joyce Moore

Joyce Eileen Moore, 74, of Lakeview passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Heartland of Indian Lake. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on November 6, 1941 to the late George H. and Vertie F. (Taylor) Harford.

On November 14, 1965 Joyce married her husband of 45 years, James M. Moore a.k.a. “The Bible School Hot Dog Man”, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, James H. & Diann Harford; and a sister-in-law, Kay Harford.

Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Karla (Brad) Whitcher and Karen (Chris) Tron; six grandchildren, Haley Tron, Anna Marie Whitcher, Dalton Tron, April Whitcher, Erin Whitcher and Austin Tron; a brother, Philip R. (Mary Ann) Harford; and several nieces and nephews.

A homemaker, Joyce was a life-long member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lakeview where she served as Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, and Bible School Teacher. She enjoyed her time spent as the Bible School “Craft Lady”, and most especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
