Judy K. Liston, 62, of Jackson Center passed away Wednesday at 7:47am, June 29, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bellefontaine on April 26, 1954, to the late Charles Joseph and Alice “Irene” Pash Liston. Judy was also preceded in death by a brother Charles “Joe” Liston II and nephew Jody Michael Liston.
A 1972 graduate of Indian Lake High School, Judy was a licensed beautician and cut hair for many years. She later went to work at Honda of America, and retired in 2009 after 26 years of service. Judy retired a second time in 2015 after serving as Postmistress at the Pemberton Post Office. She loved to watch movies, read books and was a member of the Jackson Center Library Book Club. Judy was a wonderful mother and grandmother; she dedicated her life to her family and always put them first.
Judy is survived by her children: D.J. (April) Wischmeyer of Cincinnati, Amanda L. (Jonathan Tuttle) Wischmeyer of Bluffton and Adam J. Wischmeyer of Huntsville; five grandchildren: Emma Mackay Tuttle, Jay Elliott Tuttle, Cooper Liston Tuttle, Zoey Lynn Wischmeyer, and Kaylee Alice Wischmeyer; two sisters: Suzanne (Steve) Morris of Lakeview and Cindy Lou (David) Herndon of Jackson Center; a sister-in-law Barbara Liston of Piqua; nieces and nephews: Jack Lee Ray, Tammy Lynn Stanford, Scott Brian Ray, Benjamin Herndon, Travis Herndon, and Charles Joseph Liston III; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at 2pm at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Jackson Center, where visitation will be held from noon – 2pm. Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery.
