Judy Southard

Judy A. Southard, 66, of Bellefontaine passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at her residence after a four-year battle with cancer.

She was born in Washington D.C. on March 20, 1950, the daughter of the late Floyd and Marie (Ostrander) Starks.

She is survived by her husband, Don Southard of Bellefontaine whom she married on March 2, 1968, in Walnut Grove Church near Rushsylvania. She is also survived by two grandchildren; Kyle and MacKenzie Southard of Bellefontaine, a sister, Susan Waltz of Georgia, and a brother, Ron (April) Starks of New Lexington, NC.

In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by a son, Gregory Southard in 2012 and a grandson, Trent Dean Southard in 1989.

Judy worked for AcuSport before retiring in 2012. She enjoyed sports including softball, bowling, and golfing. She belonged to the Eagles, American Legion Auxiliary, and V.F.W. all in Bellefontaine. Her grandchildren were a very special part of her life.

Pastor John Watkins will officiate a memorial service on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 N. Main St. Bellefontaine.

Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Bellefontaine assisted the family with arrangements.
