Julia D. Zwiebel, 73, of Jackson Center, Ohio passed away at 8:28 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Sidney Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born in Sidney, Ohio April 6, 1948, a daughter of the late Sherman and Ellen (Shroyer) Gates.
On January 4, 1968, Julia started her beloved marriage to Raymond J. Zwiebel and he survives. She is also survived by two daughters, April S. Hatfield of Bridgeport, Ohio and Alicia A. Zwiebel of Hartselle Alabama; one grandson, Sebastian Zwiebel; three sisters, Janet Darling, Rose Marie Murphy and Loretta Schweitzer; one brother, Larry Gates; several nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Willis Zwiebel and a sister-in-law, Miriam Bricker.
Julia worked as an RN at Lima Memorial Hospital, where she also completed her nursing education. She was truly a caregiver at heart always helping her patients and family, especially her husband and daughters. She was a compassionate lady who loved to do things for others. She was a member of the Jackson Center United Methodist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Jackson Center.
Rev. Randal Bratka will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2021, at the Jackson Center United Methodist Church in Jackson Center.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center.
Burial will be at the Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney.
The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center is honored to serve the Zwiebel family.
