June V. Alexander

June V. Alexander, age 88, of Zanesfield, Ohio passed away at 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2020 at her residence.

She was born in Leonardsburg, Ohio June 28, 1932, a daughter of the late Alfred H. and Nellie G. (Williamson) Powell.  She was also preceded in death by two husbands and a sister.

She is survived by six children, Matthew (Peggy) Beck of Port Huron, Michigan, Melissa Beck of Belle Center, Ohio, Martin (Sandy) Beck of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Stephanie (Mark) Manahan of Quincy, Ohio, Shana (Christopher) DeWitt of Zanesfield and Shane Alexander of Bellefontaine; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers and several nieces and nephews.

June graduated from Ostrander High School where she was valedictorian of her class.  She worked in the banking industry, later working for Logan Acres Senior Community in Bellefontaine and did demonstration cooking for various places.  She loved ballroom dancing and enjoyed traveling the world with her dear friend, Richard Morris who preceded her in death.

It was June’s wishes not to have any public services but anyone who would like to make a memorial contribution can do so to Interim Hospice.
