June Appelfeller Jones, 84, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed in Knoxville, Tennessee June 14th, 2012. She had recently moved to the Knoxville area to be cared for by her daughter in the final weeks of her life in her battle with cancer.

She married Walter G. Wagner in 1948. They had two children, Cindee Louella (Douglas) Cox of Farragot, Tennessee and K. Edward “Kim” (Tara D.) Wagner, of Bellefontaine, who survive.
She married Robert “Bob” Jones December 23rd, 1994. He preceded her in death October 26th, 2011. June and Bob enjoyed seventeen wonderful years together, several of those years spent wintering in Florida and summer time at Indian Lake.

June graduated from Mt. Victory Dudley Schools as the Valedictorian of the Class of 1946. During her work career she was employed at DAB, the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, and Notestine’s Floor Covering.

Victory friends, Dee Schertzer, Jeanne Mathews, Fran Pyers and Marilyn Battles. However, nothing gave her more enjoyment than cooking a fine meal for her family members. She was a wonderful cook!
