June Clair Strutton

June Clair Strutton, age 86, of Indian Lake Shores in Belle Center, Ohio passed away Thursday morning August 10, 2017 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

She was born in Dayton, Ohio June 10, 1931, to the late Julian Beck and Blanche V. (Robinson) Tempest.  June married Hershell E. “Gene” Strutton December 28, 1952, and he preceded her in death November 12, 2009.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amy S. Strutton September 2, 2015, and sisters Jean Patricia Tempest and Gale Frances Tempest.

June was a 1948 graduate of Julienene High School in Dayton and graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed quilting and loved her Cincinnati Reds baseball.

June is survived by her children Michael Strutton of Belle Center, Ohio, and Patricia (Douglas) Magilvy of Ostrander, Ohio and a granddaughter, Sarah (Ross) Bobb of Beavercreek, Ohio.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 at 1 P.M. at the Calvary Cemetery in Dayton.

The family was assisted with the arrangements by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
