Karen Elizabeth Robson, age 64, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at her home. She was born in Bellefontaine April 15, 1953, to the late Fredrick E. Houchin and Connie E. (Miller) Houchin, who survives in Bellefontaine.
On December 6, 1986, she married Dr. Jason E. Robson D.D.S. and he survives. She is also survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Teresa) Robson of Houston, Texas, John (Hannah) Roush of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, Dr. Jason A. Robson D.D.S. of Bellefontaine, and Jonathon (Sarah) Robson of Hilliard, Ohio; grandchildren Brennan and Morgan Robson, and Matthew, Rachel, and Rebecca Roush; a brother, Steven (Barbara) Houchin of West Chester, Ohio; aunts, Virginia Brumley of Richmond, Indiana, and Marilyn Knief of Bellefontaine and several nieces and nephews.
Karen was a 1971 graduate of Riverside High School in DeGraff, Ohio graduating valedictorian of her class. She also attended The Ohio State University. Karen worked for the Bellefontaine Examiner and also as a communication liaison for Bellefontaine City Schools. With a love of music and theatre, she was a lifelong member of the Philharmonic Music Club. She had a love for her country and community, and was currently serving as the president of the Top of Ohio Patriots. Her faith in God was most important to her, and had attended the Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of the East Liberty Church of Christ for many years. She served God by playing the piano for services, teaching Sunday School, leading bible studies, and much more. Karen also loved nature and the outdoors. She always enjoyed taking care of her flowers, feeding the birds, and the family fishing trips to Canada. Karen loved sharing all of this with her family most of all, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 2 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
Her husband, Dr. Jason Robson, will officiate the funeral service at 11 A.M. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the East Liberty Church of Christ in East Liberty, Ohio. Burial will be at the East Liberty Cemetery.
The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
