Katharine E. Serr, 90, of Jackson Center passed away Saturday morning, January 30, 2016 at Wapakoneta Manor. She was born in Shelby County on March 30, 1925 to the late Stanage and Irma (Brideweiser) Young. On January 14, 1944, she married Herman F.P. Serr and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1995. Katharine was also preceded in death by a sister Thelma Oglesbee and a brother Paul Young.
Katharine worked as a supervisor at Holloway Sportswear for 46 years. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Montra. While at Wapakoneta Manor, Katharine enjoyed puzzles and crafts.
Katharine is survived by daughters, Judy (Marvin) Regula of Wapakoneta and Gloria (Fred) Zwiebel of Maplewood; five grandchildren; Austin Regula, Rhonda Wildermuth, Kantessa Stewart, Heath Zwiebel and Heidi Zwiebel; six great-grandchildren: Lily and Ellie Zwiebel, Clayton and Cole Wildermuth, Alexis and Carson Regula.
Friends may call at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Jackson Center on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 4-8pm. Pastor David Sanders will officiate the funeral service on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 10am at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Montra. Burial will be in Pearl Cemetery, Swanders.
