Katherine Louise Antrim, 84, of Zanesfield, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born in Greenville, Ohio on July 18, 1925, a daughter of the late Edward L. and Mary E. Buchanan Hupe.
On June 3, 1944, she married Lt. Col. Max L. Antrim Sr. in Richmond, Virginia, and he preceded her in death May 16, 1993. She also was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Survivors include four sons, Max (Suzanne) Antrim Jr. of West Mansfield, Ohio, Paul Antrim of Powhatan, Virginia, Allen (Patricia) Antrim of Warrensburg, Missouri, and Tate (Tracey) Antrim of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a brother, Douglas (Roberta) Calhoon of Lake Isabelle, California; and a sister, Sharon (David) Ivins of Lucerne, Valley, California; six grandchildren, Bill Antrim, Jenny Johnson, Aaron Antrim, Andrea Maksim, Polly Antrim and Evie Antrim; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of the Zanesfield Community Chapel, where she taught Sunday School, helped with dinners, and was a member of the Forget-Me-Nots Sisters. She also was involved in getting materials together for love packages for overseas countries.
Pastor Keith Matthews will conduct a graveside service at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, July 23, 2009, at the Middleburg Cemetery in Middleburg, Ohio.
