Kathleen Martin

Kathleen Martin, age 86, of Columbus, Ohio and formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Mayfair Village in Columbus.

She was born February 24, 1928 in Columbus, a daughter of the late Garrett and Elsie (Denbow) Reilly. On May 29, 1948 in Columbus, she married Hugh A. Martin and he preceded her in death September 2, 1988. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Ann Bailey and Margaret Dolezal and a brother, Garrett Reilly Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Thomas) Rudell of Columbus; sons, Bruce Martin of Loveland, Colorado, and Scott Martin of Marysville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Molly, John, Brian, Patrick and Jessica and six great-grandchildren, Brynn, Bryson, Reilly, Kaden, Brielle and Conner.

A member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine, she also was a member of the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild and the D.A.R.

Kathleen retired from The Logan County Recorder’s Office and helped her husband operate Martin’s Bike Shop.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine with Father Patrick Sheridan officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
