Kathleen Robinson

Kathleen ‘Kitty’ Robinson, age 91, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio.

She was born February 13, 1923 in Bellefontaine, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna E. (McCarthy) Ryan.

On August 2, 1942, she married Gene Ramsey Robinson in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death December 27, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Burlage.

She is survived by her four children, David (Pat) Robinson of Flat Rock, North Carolina, Steve (Kathy) Robinson of Bellefontaine, Scott (Rita) Robinson of Russells Point, Ohio and Jill (Rick) Hatcher of Bellefontaine; seven grandchildren, Krista (Kyle) Wade, Jennifer (Andy) Hand, Sara (Joe) Clair, Brett (Sarah) Hatcher, Alisa Hatcher, Nicole Bickham, and Ben Bickham.

Kitty was a longtime member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine and was active with the St. Vincent De Paul Society as well as the King’s Daughters, the Rake and Hoe Club and enjoyed playing bridge with her bridge club. She was an avid bowler at TP Lanes which she and her husband were owners of as well as the City Market. She was an avid golfer at the former Bellefontaine Country Club.
She also loved to grow and care for her rose garden. Every weekend in the fall for twelve years, she and Gene would travel to watch her sons play football including high school and then later at Ohio University in Athens.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. at the Calvary Cemetery in Bellefontaine with Deacon Harold Dipple officiating.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
