Kathryn Bannon LeVan, 92, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
She was born April 25, 1921, in Bellefontaine to the late Carter Bannon and Elizabeth (Aikin) Bannon Henke.
On April 1, 1944, she married Lowell Edward LeVan in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death October 23, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Heber Henke.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean (Stanley) Wedding of West Mansfield, Ohio and Kathryn (Gregory) Neuman of Stamford, Connecticut; six grandchildren, Andrew (Tracey) Wedding, Kathryn (James) Pearson, Jessica Wedding, Lauren (Robert) Lemons, Jennifer Neuman and Brooke Neuman; six great grandchildren, Madison, Carter, Tucker and Zoe Wedding and Christian and Boston Pearson.
A 1937 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Kathryn was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Bellefontaine. She was an avid reader and a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Pastor Michele Holloway will officiate an 11:00 A.M. funeral service Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Interment will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery following the funeral service.
