Kayo Wirick

Kayo L .Wirick, 72, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Friday morning, March 14, 2014 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

He was born in Bellefontaine February 16, 1942, to the late Herbert and Ruth E. (Grimes) Wirick. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Rick Allen and Jeffrey Lynn Wirick.

Kayo married the former Melanie Kegg February 18, 1962 in West Liberty, and she survives in West Liberty. He is also survived by a son, Ryan (Cindy) Wirick of West Liberty; a daughter-in-law, Dianna (Dale) Ward of West Liberty; six grandchildren, Nicholas Wirick, Zak Wirick, Ciarra Wirick, Grant Ward, Blake Wirick and Jessica (fiancé, Michael Lowe) Wirick; a sister, Joyce (Steve) McCollough of West Liberty; several aunts and uncles; and special friends, Richard McDaniel and Larry Byers.

Kayo retired from Acrux Security where he had worked for eighteen years. He had also worked as a press operator for the Bellefontaine Examiner and in the warehouse at Super Foods. In his spare time, Kayo was a major NASCAR fan and enjoyed all sports. He loved being outdoors and spending time with his dog, Katy. Kayo loved all his grandchildren and enjoyed all their sports.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 11 A.M. at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty with Pastor Bryan Meadows officiating.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty assisted the family with the arrangements.
