Keith Allen Barker, 65, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 11, 1944 in Celina, Ohio, to the late Frank and Grace (Bennett) Barker.

On June 15, 2007, he married Harriet Tully in Bellefontaine and she survives. Also surviving is a son, Brent (Dana) Barker of Carson City, Michigan, and Derek (Jacqui) Norman and children, Kara & Emma, of Big Pine Keys, Florida, who has been like a son for many years; a brother, Bill (Elda) Barker of San Diego, California; sisters, Rosemary (Chuck) Barton, Nancy (Bob) Henry, both of Bellefontaine, and Alice (Doug) Baughman of DeGraff, Ohio; and grandchildren, Eden Lance, Roslyn Melody and Bryna Skylar.

Keith was a teacher and taught school in Key West, Florida for twenty eight years, and in Columbus, Georgia for two years.

He was a member of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine and a graduate of Bellefontaine High School in 1962. In 1971, he graduated from Anderson College in Anderson, Indiana where he played football all four years. He enjoyed boating, fishing and anything to do with the water.

There will be a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at the First Church of God in Bellefontaine with Pastor Ray Headings and Pastor C.J. Plogger officiating. There will be one hour of calling prior to the service at the church.
